Youthful Folly (蒙 Méng)
The mountain holds back the stream—
not to stop it,
but to shape it.
Stillness becomes a teacher.
Water above, reckless and wild,
spills over stone,
searching for shape,
not knowing what it is.
This is Youthful Folly:
ignorance that seeks wisdom,
playfulness that becomes form.
Every sage was once this river.
